Spotlight on Success
June 2008
Welcome to Spotlight on Success--a newsletter designed to keep you apprised of the latest happenings at Issaquah Schools Foundation. You--our donors, sponsors and friends--make our work possible. We're proud that you are partnering with us in our quest to bridge the gap between the dollars the state provides for basic education and the funds our schools need to prepare our students for success in school, in life and in a global society.

Please share our news with your friends by sending them our e-newsletter and encouraging them to learn more about Issaquah Schools Foundation.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

Issaquah Krispy Kreme celebrates Kool Kreme opening with
July 4th fundraiser for the Issaquah Schools Foundation

Kool Kreme Logo

On Friday, July 4th, Issaquah's Krispy Kreme store will celebrate the launch of Kool Kreme by donating 100% of Kool Kreme ice cream cone sales to the Issaquah Schools Foundation.

"We are delighted to partner with Krispy Kreme for this event," said ISF Executive Director, Robin Callahan. "Our focus is children, and what's more evocative of summer and kids than ice cream? It's a natural fit and a wonderful example of the creative ways businesses support the Foundation."

ISF is asking Spotlight on Success readers to help spread the news of the July 4th event and to join us in thanking Issaquah Krispy Kreme for sponsoring a simply delicious way to raise funds for our students.

Teacher and StudentKool Kreme cones are available in "very vanilla," "deep chocolate" and dipped varieties. The Kool Kreme formula is also used to make sundaes, shakes, malts, floats and a Kool Kreme original, the Frozen Frenzee.

09 Calendar Cover

The annual ISF Calendar will hit mailboxes in early August. The calendar, which is produced and paid for by the Issaquah Schools Foundation, was originally an Issaquah School District project. In 2003, financial restraints caused the District to cease publication. To maintain this valuable communication tool and to celebrate the amazing art taking place in our schools, ISF took over production of the calendar in partnership with the District. Since then, ISF has solicited advertisers and overseen production and printing for the popular calendar. We're pleased to make this resource available to the community.
