Kids and Teachers Say it Best
The number one reason to love ISF? The remarkable difference our supporters make in the lives of our students and staff.

"ISF Donors, thank you so much for your generosity. My science class has been much better with more labs. It's been amazing! I hope to be a doctor someday. Thanks to your help, I've gained more understanding in the area I need to reach and achieve my dream."   IHS Student

"Thank you for supporting Issaquah teachers with GLAD training and materials! GLAD training was the best training I have ever attended! My students love the techniques and are soaking up the knowledge."  Sharon Solie, Briarwood Elementary

ISF Founders Featured in IS and Beyond Magazine
Teacher and StudentOn January 24, 1987, six civic-minded community members came together with a singular goal--"to enhance the quality of education provided to the students by raising significant amounts of money for the Issaquah public schools on a regular, ongoing basis." Eight months later the hard working coalition had raised over $35,000 and changed forever the way the community perceived private funding of our public schools.

Read the story of ISF founders John and Maureen Shaw, Gayle Morgan, Carol Sinnett, Doris Gilbert, Janell Erickson, and Martin Stieglitz and their quest to improve education in the Summer edition of IS and Beyond Magazine. Copies of the magazine should arrive in Issaquah and Sammamish residents' mailboxes this week.

Making Connections
The Issaquah Schools Foundation is teaming with the school district to produce the first ever Alumni Directory. "We are excited about our new project," says ISF Executive Director, Robin Callahan. "Our district has produced outstanding graduates who are leaving their mark our world in myriad ways. We're glad to offer them a way to connect with each other and the schools that served as incubators for their success."

Harris Connect--one of the nation's leading Alumni Directory publishers--will begin calling former students of Liberty, Issaquah, Skyline and Tiger Mountain High Schools in August to update their information. Directories are scheduled to be released in December. There is no obligation to purchase a directory and alumni can choose not to participate.

If you are an Issaquah District graduate who would like to proactively update your information, please contact Harris Connect at 800-366-6249. For questions about the Directory, please call ISF at 425-416-2045.
Help Krista Reach Her Facebook Goal
Facebook LogoISF volunteer Krista Mui has put Issaquah Schools Foundation on the Facebook map. She launched our presence on the social networking scene in early June and has been posting interesting tidbits for our Facebook Friends ever since. If you're an ISF Facebook Friend you've been privy to 'behind the scenes' news about our Leadership Circle Reception, Telly Award and our incoming Board President.

Now that we have a Facebook presence, Krista is upping the ante. She wants the number of ISF Facebook Friends to reach 500 by August 15th. Will you help? Click on the link below to join the ISF Facbook family. Thank you!
