Welcome Back
I hope everyone had a wonderful Spring Break. It is difficult to believe but we are down to the last few months of the school year. Usually this means that things in the Foundation office are slowing down. Not this year! We are gearing up for the 12th Annual Nourish Every Mind Benefit Luncheon. Our signature fundraiser will make its spring debut on May 13 at the Issaquah Community Center.
The Luncheon is one of my favorite events. I enjoy meeting Foundation donors, listening to their unique stories and seeing the Community Center filled with education advocates. Best is hearing testimonials from students and teachers who have benefited from ISF programs. Their words confirm what you, as a member of our ISF family, already know. Donor dollars are helping students achieve their academic potential every day.
Sincerely,
Robin Callahan, Executive Director

Surprise! You're a Winner
|
|
Authors of winning Academic Enrichment Grants learned of their accomplishment with celebratory banners on the mornings of March 18 and 25. ISF staffer Krista Mui and her band of helpers visited 16 schools late at night and early in the morning to hang banners on each winner's building and in their classroom.
At right: Sandy Mullins and students at Sunset Elementary are all smiles after learning that the "Enriching the School Art Program Through Books" grant had been funded.

Swedish Hospital and Microsoft are Golden
|
|
Swedish Hospital and Microsoft have become the first joint Golden Apple sponsors of the Nourish Every Mind Luncheon. Their generous gifts laid the foundation for a successful corporate sponsorship campaign. To date, 15 area corporations have signed sponsorship agreements with the Foundation. This means that every dollar contributed by Luncheon attendees will be applied to ISF programs and pressing District needs. Read more and view complete list of NEM sponsors. |
