Education Funding: Why Your Help is Needed

- Today’s fast-paced increasing global society necessitates that our students be
fluent in the latest technologies and program advancements. However, the need
for improvements and updates far outpaces available finances.
- The cost of purchasing
district wide curriculum for one course, for one grade level ranges from
$500,000 - $1 million. Because our school district is not allowed
to raise taxes above our state-defined levy lid, and is under-funded by
the state, it can not afford to purchase new curriculum as quickly as
our neighboring districts, nor as quickly as our community expects and
our students deserve.
