InternshipsIn this challenging economic time, finding a job as a student is becoming more difficult. For this reason, students are turning to internships to gain experience, and learn how to communicate, interact, and thrive in the professional world. These internships provide benefits to students and employers. Students gain valuable real world experiences while employers benefit from motivated, engaged workers and the opportunity to develop a potential future employee. To this end, the Issaquah Schools Foundation and Issaquah and Sammamish Chambers of Commerce are teaming up in an unprecedented partnership to help prepare tomorrow’s workforce and support the students of our community by promoting and publicizing available internships. If you are a member of the business community and willing to help prepare tomorrow’s work force, please take three minutes to fill out our survey. An ISF intern will be following up with you to answer specific questions and gather more information. This database of potential internships will be made available to the students of the Issaquah School District in the spring of 2012 by emailing info@issaquahschoolsfoundation.org If you have any questions, please contact Robin Callahan at rcallahan@issaquahschoolsfoundation.org
